Before the shipment leaves
Check that the destination, receiver contact, item count, and handling instructions match the request. Keep customer and shipment information limited to what is needed for the delivery.
Make access clear
Tell your delivery provider about gates, loading docks, parking restrictions, stairs, or appointment requirements. Ask which services are supported for your shipment rather than assuming special handling is included.
Prepare for exceptions
Choose a contact who can answer questions if a receiver is unavailable or an address needs clarification. Agree on the confirmation process with NDE before dispatch.
